This Privacy Policy describes how Dalil AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Dalil AI mobile application ("App").
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to your account only.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App, under Settings, which removes your chats, favourites, and account record permanently. You may also request deletion by contacting us at salaam@dalilaiapp.com.
Dalil AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Dalil AI mobile application ("the App"), operated by Dalil AI ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Dalil AI is an assistant that answers questions about Islam using an artificial intelligence language model, drawing on the Quran and Hadith.
Answers are generated by AI and may be incomplete, imprecise, or wrong. Dalil AI is not a scholar and does not issue fatwa. It is a starting point for learning, not a source of religious rulings. For any matter of consequence — worship, family, finance, or anything where being wrong would matter — consult a qualified scholar who can consider your particular circumstances. Do not rely on the App as your sole source of religious guidance.
We make no warranty that any answer is accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on its output.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings within the App, or by contacting us.
We may change subscription pricing or the limits of the free tier. Where a change affects an active subscription, it takes effect at the next renewal, and you will be able to cancel before it applies.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, without refund where the breach is deliberate.
The questions you ask remain yours. You grant us the limited right to process them in order to generate answers and to store them so your chat history is available across your devices. How this data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use your messages to train AI models.
The App, its design, and its software are owned by us and protected by copyright. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App. Quranic text and Hadith are not our property and are reproduced as religious source material.
The App depends on third-party services and may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Where a paid subscription is materially affected by a prolonged outage, contact us and we will address it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
